Alone is a series of images that I developed for a uni assignment in 2022, the brief that I was given was to create a series of images that all together create one work with a continuous theme. When looking for inspiration I felt drawn towards the dark, gloomy and melancholic imagery that surrealist photographers usually gravitate towards. I wanted my images to convey a sense of being in a dream that may turn into a nightmare, you are alone, lost and the world around you is quiet, cold and unfamiliar.

The model in my series is my younger sister Eva who was willing enough to jump into the ocean in the middle of winter for me, I chose her as she was there at the time but she also has this very pouty sad resting face that really added to may images.
